Some Kind of Wonderful (Grand Funk Railroad)

I’ve been listening to my favorite songs and keeping all those memories to myself. I need to keep the promise I made months ago and keep my word to share my life. Maybe no one cares. That shouldn’t matter. I’m doing this for myself. If other people get into it, that’s cool. I was watching a reaction video on YouTube this morning featuring this song. The YouTuber is listening to music suggested by people who are encouraging him to discover music that is out of his realm of experience and it has been glorious watching him find new stuff to love in places he never anticipated. I only performed this song one time at a karaoke bar. The ending can be quite tricky. But it is an anthem type song and people got into it. It’s wasn’t about me anymore, it was about people singing. And that was nifty. I think this song is celebrating a certain point in your relationship when you realize what you have. It can happen more than once in your life if you’re lucky. Hemorrhage by Fuel

I created this blog a long time ago, but never got around to actually adding content. I’ve decided to start a project. I’m calling it “Music is the Key to My Memories”. I kept journals for years and ended up ritually burning them because I feared their content getting back to people who would be very hurt and upset. So instead I am using music and the memories I associate with them to let people know who I am and what I’m really all about. After I had my stroke, I realize there were whole chunks of my life I can’t remember. Music helps bring some of that stuff back like nothing else can. I’ve spent quite some time curating my music and have created a playlist of over 100 songs that mean something to me. Either it’s the music, lyrics or a memory that is tied to the song and that has nothing to do with any of that. My lifelong love and appreciation of good music comes from my family. I’d really like to get some of these memories back. The songs are in no particular order. I’ll post e
